Both mobile and stationary surveys are conducted with the Anabat SD2 bat detector and stainless steel microphone connected by an 8 foot cable. 14 sets of detectors are available each week. 10 to 12 will be reserved for stationary surveys and 2 to 4 will be for mobile surveys.

These detectors must be used for surveys within the 38 selected cells. If some detectors remain unused and an additional survey route or stationary survey is desired to be conducted in an unselected cell, it may be possible to do so.
